A lot of hardcore duck hunters are hacking this 12Vmonster remote control to work with a Lucky Duck Decoy - one of our coolest customers Ray R. has provided the wiring sequence to us so we could share with everyone. We hope this will help you save some time
Lucky Duck Wiring Sequence
1. Attach the 12Vmonster 6V +(red) to the lucky duck battery. 2. Attach the 12Vmonster -(black) to the lucky duck battery. 3. 12Vmonster wire 01 (red) will not be used and should be taped off. 4. Cut the black wire going to the lucky duck motor. 5. Attach the 12Vmonster wire 02(black) to the black wire just cut , running to the motor. 6. Jumper 12Vmonster - wire (black) same wire in step 2 to the other black wire resulting from step 4. 7. Turn luck duck switch to on position. 8. Use remote to turn lucky duck on/ off.
Note: There are multiple versions of the lucky duck, the above is for reference only and should only be tried if you can understand electronics. If this does not work on your lucky duck, we cannot be responsible.
Returns are also not accepted if the wiring harness has been cut and the product is no longer in sellable condition.
Unfortunately, the units I recently purchased after being installed did not work properly. I have used them for a few years now and had good success, however the remotes are sensitive and the distance is not very good. 15 to 20 yards max. I would like these to be replaced. It appears some units have antennas and some do not. These are not waterproof either.
The remotes work great, but the customer service is even better. One remote of the first pair I ordered only worked if you were standing next to it. Customer service reached out to me and corrected the issue promptly even during the busy holiday season. You can’t be perfect every time, but great customer service makes all the difference.
One receiver works great, but the other only works if you are right next to it, even with brand new batteries.
It technically works, but the range seems quite limited. I'm not able to put the spinners outside of the decoys, I have to keep them close to the blind if I want to turn them off and on.
Super quick install. Up and running in less than 5 minutes.
Easy hook up and decently fast shipping. One reciever seems to have better responsiveness/range than the other. I dont trust them at more than 10-15 yards away.
This only has an on & off for your selection, there is no intermittent selection. so if you want to keep turning it on and off all the time it works great, other wise you will need to find something else
A little short on distance from remote to the ducks.
Had an issue with one receiver. They were quick to replace. Both receivers work great with my mojo and the range is a lot further than I expected. Recommend 10/10
I have four of your remotes, difficulty with one of them. I like the fact they fit in all the ducks plus the mojo dove of which I use the most both for ducks and dove. They are a neat feature in that you can shut them off and not leave the blind. While the issue has not yet been resolved on one remote, believe it will be. They are a company that actually responds to a problem and quickly.
Unfortunately I can't show the remote in action at this time. I used it with my decoy spread for photographing waterfowl here in Northern Ohio. Our water holes are froze over and the migrators have moved south. I will bring them out again in the spring.
Having spinning wings in decoys in the spread which can be turned off when geese arrive or when birds are not active sure helps. But the ability to cycle them when birds are approaching is a plus.
I have attached a couple of photos of the waterfowl
This works amazing but I did have to wire my mojos directing because mine did not have the clip that these came with.
Remote had decent range but ran out of battery fast.
Works great simple product great asset to decoys
Thanks for a great product
It works but seems very cheap made. If I could ask for one upgrade in the product I would ask for an waterproof remote. Being an swamp hunter I am kinda scared to use it.
Fantastic, simple plug & play. Makes duck hunting w/ decoys so much simpler to turn off & on ! Plus great end of season prices! Highly recommend!
Easy to install, works great.
The remotes for my mojo's work better than th factory original. On and off for multiple decoys one push of button every time. Delivery is poor extremely long delivery of products but was worth the wait they work!
I plugged em in and worked as said’
It does not work with MoJo Teal decoys they do not have a 4 wire harness. They only have a red/black wires going from the switch to the motor. There are no instructions to rig it to a 2 wire system.
Very easy to install and use.
Works as advertised...won't actually hunt the remotes until October 25. .opening of duck season
all work great and shipping was fast
Great delivery and it was so easy to hook up to my older mojo and works good!! Can’t beat the price
great product and customer service
GREAT PLUG AND PLAY WITH MOJO DECOY
Good product work like it should
Plug and play amazing range easy to use can’t beat th price
One receiver worked well... the other was sporadic...it eventually started to smoke and died the same day as installation......I probably crossed wires somewhere during installation...M
Would like to know range distance this works at
Baby mojos converted to remote control! Easy plug and play application. Great value.
nephew wired to my lucky duck junior. works awesome.
Housings seemed to be made of thin plastic. Thin gauge wires. Shipping took longer than advertised .
I ordered the 2 receiver 1 remote ootion. I have yet to need second mojo so I have not wired 2nd receiver up. The one receiver I did hook up works flawlessly, the distance is greater than expected, and it definitely helps wise green heads cup up instead of flap too.
Works great. Just plug it in and done.
Excellent product at a great price!
Other than it taking forever to arrive to my house. The product itself is so easy to hook up and just as easy to use.
The product works great. I was disappointed in the arrival time. The web site says 5-12 days but it took exactly a month to receive it. Not to mention that the product had to come from Hong Kong.
Worked well after I figured how to operate it.
Got the Mojo remotes for some ducks I have. Had to do a little modification due the kind I have but they worked perfect!
Easy connection. Works as stated. Easy ordering process. Shipping time okay given shipped from oversea.
The price was fair, the shipping was extremely fast and the product install was very easy! They worked fantastic and I am very pleased. The only issue I feel is, will the remote stand up to the weather and conditions of duck hunting, it seems a little lightly made. Time will tell. Otherwise, it's great.
Minutes to wire and they work like a charm
Good product, remote seems kind of cheap we will see if it holds up in the elements this duck season
